As for the other title's there all post based so if you post alot in a short time you will also get a high rank, but that doesn't mean that you have been around for a long time (I know you said usually). no you DON'T have to watch PSPorn on your PSP to be -ecchi, but i guess you have to be perverted in some level. Actually me and Conner are NOT the ones who got the idea of -ecchi, it was one day that Daft decided to give us that title and we didn't even knew about it, therefore the ritual is not from us but Daft himself... |

I found out about this site only because I love watching anime series and halfway though there would always be this message about fansub, so a quick trip to google and I find myself here. | Okay, so I'm doing things a little backwards. I've been posting for a little while now (meaning I posted once a while ago and now am getting back into it). Well, a little about me: As you can read in my profile, I am a high school teacher. I teach mathematics (I don't want to hear the groans; I hear enough of them as it is.). I like to sing, be outdoors, teach (not just mathematics, really I enjoy teaching anything that I know from my own learning or experience), and hang with friends. I enjoy anime for its exploration of what it means to be human and the insight into Japanese culture. Also, it's just downright fun sometimes (watch Love Hina sometime). A girl who graduated high school the year I completed eighth grade called me her "friend of deep thoughts". I'm a thinker. The deeper, the better. I will probably challenge some of you to defend your ideas and at the same time I may introduce you to a new way of thinking that had not occurred to you before. I encourage you all to do the same to me. I am a very opinionated person and will probably come off very strongly sometimes. That's just the way I am, it's nothing personal. I will rarely attack anyone personally, so if you feel I have, let me know...it's probably a misunderstanding. A friend of mine from college says that I look somewhat like Ichigo from Bleach. I don't know if I agree. Maybe if I lost some of the weight I put on in college, I would (all of you with college still ahead: STAY ACTIVE!!!). If you can't tell, I write long posts often. My opinions and thoughts tend to be complicated. I believe there is no gray in the world. Any gray we see is only lines of white and black that are too small for use to distinguish between until we look closer. It is my life goal to see every 'gray' part of life for the swirl of black and white that it really is. As such, my posts will often be long as I try to do justice to my opinions and still limit them to readable lengths. I'm a bit of a Renaissance man. I may teach math, but I have interests in English (especially literature), history, languages (Spanish and obviously Japanese [I can almost identify all the Hiragana and Katakana]), science, religion, philosophy, theology, and many other areas. I'm really big into logic. I believe there are often two layers to logic. The top layer is easier to identify and simpler, often missing bigger issues. The deeper layer considers the ramifications of each idea and test to see if it is consistent with the world around us. Deeper logic is something that not everyone can do (not a matter potential, but a matter of current intellectual level). Deeper logic is something you get more comfortable with over time but I don't believe any one masters it like they do simple logic. Anyways, this is going to turn into a novel unless I stop now. One last thing, a fun moment that occurred within the last year: I was in my apartment watching anime (Witch Hunter Robin, I think) and there was a line that came up and I thought to myself, "That's not what he said. OH! THAT'S NOT WHAT HE SAID!" Yay for learning Japanese phonetically. (Can someone explain the honorifics to me? Honorifics in English would be Mr., Mrs., Dr., etc and in Japanese would be chan, san, sama, ecchi. How do they show up and what do they all mean as far as the forums are concerned?) |

well, ecchi is not really a japanease honorific ... If you go to Japan and they start to refer to you as ecchi when calling you, it may not be a good thing!! San is a general honorific used for anybody Chan is for young people (mostly used for girls, because there is kun for boys. But chan is gender neutral) Sama is to show respect to someone Dono is even more respectfull and usally used only for people with official positions As far as the forum is concerned, the tittles are based on the number of posts, the time you have been a member and a few more rules to prevent spammers from getting new tittles too fast. Thre are also custom title that are usally chosen by the person or inspired by someone. Daft is the one that control the custom titles. You may refer to him as Go .. hmm, I mean as the admin

| I use VirtualDub ( http://www.virtualdub.org/ ) to break the AVI into jpegs (using "Save as image sequence"). However, I haven't been able to find a free program without a limited trial that will let you link them together into a GIF. I made the avatar with the Jasc Animation Shop 3 trial |

I believe dono is 300 as I've had it for a while now and I've only just reached 400 posts Other rankings you'll see are ecchi for the two big posters in the ecchi thread, and spama for the (1+?) spammers on the forum. A leacher is some who leachs. Leaching means to draw from something. The word comes from mythology where it meant a evil sorcerer who was able to suck life out of people.
