I agree with you, Jcdranzer-san. Her face is a bit pale. Perhaps she put too much of make up on her face. But i like her eyes. She has a pair of big eye. Look more like anime girl.

I agree that the cosplayer doesn't look right. First off she's too pale and her coloring against the coloring of the outfit is scary. She really could play Sunako from Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. Also her eyes look extremely weird. Overall the look is creepy to me, but at least she loves her anime so that's a plus.

Incidentally I should have mentioned she also cosplays Mikuru in her maid costume (there's about a dozen images of that one in the rar file) but I wasn't very impressed, if it weren't for the みくる (Mikuru) name badge I don't think I would have recognised her: the outfit is exactly right, very well done, and the hair is done just like Mikuru does when she's wearing the maid costume, but she just doesn't have Mikuru's looks (and her hair is too dark), whereas I think she makes a perfect Haruhi.

The character Haruhi never came off scary too me. Weird and dangerous but never scary. You could still look at her without shivering, but that cosplay girl gives me the shivers. But not all cosplayers are going to look the part of their favorite characters and it doesn't mean they now don't have the right to dress up as them. I would love to cosplay, but first I need the dinero.

That cosplay was indeed pretty freaky.. Great costume, but might look better on anyone else that looked a little more like Haruhi to have that fit I think she could've done better if she didn't smile as much and did the serious Haruhi.. i came to realize that Cosplayer's costumes are always brand new and looks like some parts of it are made out of plastic.. Can't they just wear that uniform at all times to make it look older/more of a realistic side?

The last line u said......I think the cosplayers should do that, to bring out the tone, that anime characters almost of the time where the same clothes almost everyday of their lives, just look at Naruto.

I wonder how much they spend on making these cosplay costumes, I'm sure its eating up a lot of money.......but its funny to see them sometimes

Does anyone know of a confirmed date for MoHS 2 or an OVA ? (I know it will be either the fall of 2007 (hopefully!) or early 2008) anyways, if u were to answer this question, what sites will u visit to confirm this.

I heard that cosplayers actuall spend a ton of time making their costumes (if thye make it instead of buying it). They may spend more time making it than what they spend on buying it. And some people do use their old things to make costumes too, allowing them to save more money. And there's no exact date yet. Some animes airing in the spring don't even have confirmation dates yet.

My cousin spent overnight yesterday making the full Haruhi dance into a screensaver...it's done now and I thought I'd share it with you guys.

Do you have such things as "Cosplay Competition" like which person or group who dresses better or something like that. Over here in the UK, I'm not sure if anyone does "cosplay"....wait is there such thing as an "Anime Expo" over here, I never heard of one down here.........the UK is so boring!!!! But I think there are anime expos but usually done in relatively done in unknown areas.

Thanks for the links. I'm downloading them now. Arigatou and J-san says . I hope they come out with a second season soon. At first I heard it would come out sometime this year but then someone said they pushed back the date to 2008. Wasn't the voice actress for Haruhi hospitalized or something late last year? I hope they're able to do it this year. I know some of the cosplayers make their own costume, but if you choose to have one made for you, it is extremely expensive. A friend showed me some sites a while back that deal only in cosplay costumes and I cringed at the prices. I'll probably have my mom make me something since she's great at designs for clothes and other art.

I just watch the whole series again yesterday and it is as good as when I first saw it. The originality of this anime is awesome.

Can't remember the episodes too well probably I'm gonna have to re-watch like you, Hyuuga. But, I guess the last episode (eppy 14) was my favourite, Kyon gives Haruhi a little kiss............I simply love her stubborness towards Kyon, its my favourite part of this anime....its just so funny to see her stubborn face, it reminds of certain stubborn chracters of different animes (i.e. Suzuka of Suzuka, Saber of FSN, Tokiko of Busou Renkin, Naru of Love Hina, Shana of Shakugan no Shana.......).

but my favorite is the one where there's like 5 minutes of just... nagato yuki sitting in the otherwise empty room.. with the tv going off in the next room.

it's so... real.

That was episode 9 (chronologically episode 14). I remember episode numbers instead of names unless I want to. I actually thought that episode was boring, most of the episode was the same and rather dull (that was a TV? I thought it was some people in another room doing some sort of exercise for something).

My favorites were episodes 10 (Yuki fights Asakura), 12 (everyone should know what this one was, God Knows and Lost My Music), and 14 (last episode).

Episode 12 and 14 are easily my favorite.

The climactic moment when Kyon kisses Haruhi was amazing. Then the there's the concert in episode 12. I've rewatched that scene so many times cause I love it so much.
