Oh well, the end of another good series...or is it?

I thought the episode was a good end (since I'm a support of MizuhoXTakako ) though I was way off. I thought for sure at least Kana and Yukari would have found out about Mizuho, if not the entire school; strike one for me. It was also interesting to see the rest of that year pan through in about 30 seconds. XD New Years, Valentines, a school trip and even a date with Takako! But just one thing: The last scene shown with Mizuho's diploma on his desk; why did he leave it behind in the dorm room? I know it probably has something to do with his mother and all, just I thought that to be a bit odd.

Ah well, I'm now eagerly awaiting to see what the 13th episode will be. I'm hoping for it to be a continuation beyond episode 12, but then sometimes they do the OVA that are in between episodes, though I'm expecting it to be a continuation. In the OVA, I'm hoping we get to see more of MizuhoXTakako though. ^^

GNU fansubs are kinda missing otome wa boku out
they havemt subbed one for like more than 3 weeks

and all the episode from 8 to 12 are allready out

GNU fansubs are not consistent or probably as motivated as other subbers. They probably just don't commit as much like DB or Eclipse does. Also, this is a holiday month so they are probably on break or at least a portion of them are. If you remember, they took about a month to release some of the episodes. So be patient. An even better example is the amount of time Himitsu or Mendoi are taking to sub Inukami! So this is technically nothing. The series has been done since approximately end of October and there are still 6 episodes yet to be subbed.

I was more or less hoping a Strawberry Panic like ending, but I guess not

What the...I totally disliked SP!'s ending; I was pulling and rooting for Tamao all the way to the end. But I guess I see what you mean by that. I still would have loved more Takako and Shion though. Them and those two supporting characters that seemed they were in a yuri relationship together; they were cool.

Now I want a season 2 of this... its just so good XD

The ending was good... but also disappointing because the dance between Mizuho and Shion was just a 3 seconds flash They could use another 20 minutes or so to fully do the ending

My thoughts on the ending: It was a rather smart ending... to have Mariya pull the plug and then hold Takako's hand.  Takako almost confess her love and kissed...  Mariya!    That hit me quite unexpectedly, and I am pleasantly suprised.  Well done.  And the ending shots of the 2nd semisters holds enough material for a 2nd season... espcially the Kimono shot... there is also the valentine day and Mizuho taking Takako out for noodles... not to mention the grudgy ping pong match between Mariya and Takako.

That ending with what Mariya did was surprising to me as well since I could have sworn it was something Mizuho had planned, but ah well; a nice good almost yuri moment to this pseudo-yuri series. XD

Though I think those shots of the rest of the year were just there for some final closure and to show a bit of what Mizuho did the rest of that year up to when he graduated. I highly doubt they'd do a second season and I think it'd be more like wishful thinking, like a second SP! (which I would love! ).

ahh when will we get subbs..

Its a great ending since no one saw it coming, and the tone is very in-line with the story. I half expected an anime original ending, but this one takes the cake. Mariya is living up to the prankster that she is, like when she put frogs in Takako's desk from that swimsuit episode.

That's why I said I want one more season of this, instead of just one DVD episode. There are so much potential source materials covered in the ending...

• Kimono/Spring Festival
  
• That ping pong scene looks like a school stay at the hot spring
  
• Valentine's day
  
• More yuri/grudge match between Mariya & Takako
  
• More Mizuho X Shion screen time
  
• Maybe they can show more of the Mizuho+Shion dance since it was only 3 sec... due to time limitation.
  
• Someone also mentioned some rivalry between Mizuho and Takako's family - and Takako doesn't know Mizuho's real last name yet, since he is using his mother's maiden name. Romeo X Juliet encore, anyone?
  

Ah yes, there is a lot of material for a second season though I doubt they would; we can always hope though.

Lol, they only release for "higher and HIGHERS!" I just love their policy and quality. Good episode btw, for those of you who haven't watched it, I must suggest not downloading it, it was 18 minutes of drama, 30 secs of preview and few other minutes of OP and ED. Of course, 50% of that 18 minutes was NOTHING BUT DAMN FLASHBACKS. But I must admit how I have became amazed at how he manages to hug a cute girl like that and only turns red. If it was me or in fact, any other NORMAL guy, who knows what would have happened.

Mizuho+Takako+'chu'=yahoooo!!=Mariya@ OTL

I just started watching this and liking the artwork, since it's similar to Da Capo S.S.
Storyline is very entertaining, and is a lot of fun to watch. Trying to catch up at the moment, and so far at Ep.3.

Just wondering...

1.) Why oh why did Mizuho's grandfather requested his grandson to attend an all girl's school in his will? 

Something tells me this won't be revealed until later... >_>;;;
But, wow... that grandfather must've been smoking something when he wrote his will. lol XD

2. Mariya work for Hollywood? ^^;;

That's a pretty damn good job she did on Mizuho.  The breasts... um... look real.
How? o.O

Latex like Mrs. Doubtfire?  Makeup?  Prosthetics like how Hollywood make Elvaan ears in Lord of Rings.?

Mariya's good, but I wonder how that's going to hold up when Mizuho goes swimming. 

3.) Seeing that Mizuho hasn't hit puberty... yet, his voice is pretty convincing for a young teenage female.  Wondering if he doesn't get any... um... "hard-ons"... so to speak when girls are hugging him... 

4.) Lastly, don't know if anyone has asked, but is it wrong to be mildly or somewhat attracted to Mizuho, knowing full well he's a boy? >_>;;;  *hides in a corner*

This kinda reminds me of an old anime called Cheeky Angel.  Guy wishes to be a girl and becomes a girl.  Well, the main character in Cheeky Angel pulled it off pretty well being a girl.  Towards the end, it made me wonder: Maybe he was never a boy in the first place, but a very tom-boyish girl from the beginning.

Not sure, but Mizuho pulls off being a teenage girl (appearance-wise) pretty damn well.

5.) Oh... confused now, like in Cheeky Angel... call Mizuho a he or a she?

Animes like this just rattle my brain.
I'm starting to call her a she from Ep.2 on now. Anyone doing the same? XD

is it weird for a girl to like mizuho although he is a guy yet so much like a girl?
and that he is "a girl look" now? >.< weird ....but i like the anime and mizuho still ^^

Let me answer that seemingly long list of questions you got there.

1. You WILL in fact learn way as the series progresses, either that or it becomes obvious why.

2. She's an anime character, she can do anything, even fly if the producers wanted her to do so. And the breast thing still remains unanswered and probably will remain unanswered.

3. I don't exactly get what you mean by "hard ons" but if you mean something like his stick sticking out, it already happened in episode 1.

4. Lately, some animes have definitely been trying to make people gay (at least it seems like that since they're abusing the idea of dressing up guys to look like girls). That's all I'm gonna say about this one.

5. Just call him a he unless you really want to call him a girl. Well, either way, it's your choice.

Oh, and about Mizuho looking so much like a girl, apparently, some animes have been saying that there are guys in the world who in fact look a lot more like girls than guys, and Mizuho's one of them. Then again, it's an anime, anything can happen. Next thing you know it, he tries to go to an all guys school to get his so-called 'Maliness' back, but gets rejected from the school saying that Mizuho's a girl, not a guy. Then again, Mizuho may like it better as a girl seeing that he's literally enjoying himself a lot at his current school.

Who wouldn't? The girls are literally all over him and if he actually tries it, he can get one everynight. Get what? Well, Two cups of tea for the begininng and a whole lot of chatting and whispering for the rest of the night.

Mizuho is like Clark Kent from the 70s... there is not a single speck of pervertness in him. It is good this way, otherwise this anime will turn into one of those plotless fanservice like negima...
