i also enjoy this anime a lot. though it's be no means a "great" anime, it's still fun to watch. and as Barbobot mentioned, it's very character driven rather than story driven. rather odd considering the apparent genre.

when is the last episode for this show?? is episode 24 the last or haven't finish?

24 is the last episode. I'm gonna be hoping for a season 2 that will have an over-arching story this time, though I haven't watched ep 24 so I'm not sure how that ends and if it leaves things open for a 2nd season. But I have a feeling it will leave things open for a possibility. Though my hope is based on absolutely nothing, but my own desire.

OMG 24 IS THE LAST?? they didn't put a END episode or something!! sighs, rental magica is so nice=]=] the show is unique unlike others.

Um...1 and 2 liners...warning...tho im in no position to warn...lols...leave that to the mods....

ehem...well pity it ended...but it was a fun nice enjoyable 24 episodes while it lasted...2nd season hopefully...?XD but ya noe i kinda feel sad for honami....i mean that was wad? 10 yrs of hard work and effort down the drain jus by a few words frm It-chan? lols...ouch...makes it seem like wad all she did was just a waste of time...tho least for one thing she managed to protect him up till now...so thats one point...lols...poor honami...

Hmm...i tink a dragon named Astrals kinda cool actually....kinda feels like honami and It-chans baby child...lols....

It was an entertaining series the whole way through and the last episode was no different. The show ended up losing points for being relatively episodic, but it's not like I didn't enjoy watching it each week. I'm hoping for a 2nd season. It's not like they ended 24 in a way that would make it impossible to continue the story anyway. I would be quite possible to go into a 2nd season maybe focusing on the organization Fin was involved with, Ophiun (?? can't exactly remember it, but it's something like that I think). Well i'll be hoping.

Was ep 24 the end of the series? If so this anime was a little bit of a waste of time for me. I felt they should've given It-chan a little more power then what they gave him. Overall I give this anime a 7 outta 10. The story was good in the begining but then it broke out into this sob story about Itsuki's eye. I would have liked for them to use that monk earlier also.............he kicks major ass.

well, the light novel is still ongoing in Japan but up to now , there isnt much info of Itsuki's Father is revealed, so is still a big mystery.

dont know how it did over in Japan, but if enuf material is release in the coming future hope an 2nd season is greenlite. To explain a bit more of Ophion objective(taboo breaking magic organization) and Itsuki's father, and introduce the new mage that joins astral.

i tot one or 2 words were prohibited but 1 / 2 liners could be prohibited? u not kidding me?!

well, rental magica is one of the best story i have seen, because it never seems to follow a storyline..

If you don't know what that means, think The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

If you have downloaded the whole episode, this is order you have to watch the episode, because I know you people regret watching episode 24, because episode 24 is infact episode 23:

So, I am thinking of batch downloading this series and I would like to know two things:

1)should I even download it?
2)If I do download it, should I watch it in chronological order or airing order?

Airing order will do,it is not so much of shuffle in ep.

good story? I doubt, the concept of magic is original (or not...) most of the episode is a little back ground story of each char and Astral trying to solve case,that is all

good animation? this I cannot deny,the animation is good

I think,i f you have nothing else to do,this anime make a good choice but there are a lot better anime out there

anyone even notice he repeated 11 and doesn't have episode 07...
the second 11 should be 07 but yea that confused me for a bit..kind of a wtf moment.
