Alot of people have been fussing over charactor development. They may think peices are missing from these charactors, or that they are just poorly developed. Well...thats because, in a way, they are......so far.

Sence the first episode we have been given new insights in the main charictors lives and personalities(they are developing). The charactors are the story, so, if they stop developing then the story stops too. The major action(climax) in the show will happen once the main charactors have been fully developed. I love shows(books, mangas...) that develope with every episode.

I know, is it family problems, as in doesn't want to go home? Financial, debt or hospital bills? That kind of activity level just doesn't seem normal to me. Going off the deep end here, dying and wants to do everything she can in the time left!?

It seems plausible that Minori wants to keep away from home, but OTOH Taiga seems to think her behaviour is because that it's just the way she is, and as she seems to have the attitude that you should just face your problems head on and not waste time being scared you would think that if she had some specific problems at home or elsewhere she would have confronted them, so I think it's more likely a psychological thing than some real world problem. Maybe she just needs money to buy lots of puddings!

Hmm, just started this series, seems like a neat romantic comedy with a tsundere main chara... Pretty popular these days, I guess... Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Palmtop Tiger is like a crossover between Minami Chiaki and Louise?

I like taiga. The hole photo obsession scenes were the best. she was halarious with the stared out drool look. i DONT like the engergetic red head to much, she annoys me more. I wanna hurt girls like that, just to see there sad face.

1 thing im not sure about. did Kitamura understand that Taiga confessed to him and just played it off cause he thot she and Takasu were hitting it off? or is he also that dense? Cause they basically both confessed to each other right? unless he doesnt like her anymore...but it seems he still has sum feelings for her.

With all the comments on the energetic red head - I think there might be something deeper, but it really is in her personality to be optimistic and energetic. I don't think it's anything like the two maids in Tsukihime. She probably has something in her history, but nothing major. And while I don't particularly hate her, I believe she has to be there in moderation. If she was the main character, I wouldn't be able to watch this.

So you're saying she probablly had a rough past, but not as tramatic as what Kohaku went though in the Tsukihime Visual Novel right? Besides she could be forcing herself just so no one will know her true self though. Besides in Tsukihime only Kohaku had the tramatic past while hisui was the one who went unscathed though.

That's what I meant. Couldn't remember the name, since it's been a few months. I never saw the anime, so I don't know if they included Kohaku's past or not. Now it's been a long time, but wasn't hisui originally the more happy, energetic one, before she changed and became cold and introverted?

Anyways, can't wait for episode 5! Only a couple more days.

Episode 5 was great too. We finally meet Ami-chan! And yes, to those who were worried, she still keeps her two faced personality, since that is her defining personality trait . I was very satisfied with her introduction, and the voice fit perfectly. It also seemed to follow the novel almost exactly. Now another week until we see episode 6...

sigh speaking of the novel, its sad that this anime wont get to the 9th volume or anywhere near it judging by the pace... things started heating up like crazy there (and i think its volume 5 or 6 for any REAL romance to begin) so i'm going to go ahead and guess we'll get an anime original ending or multiple seasons, either is good

anyway episode 5 was indeed great, and Ami still remains the "loveable" girl she was in the novels; its only so funny because she is so full of it but that makes her the most interesting character imo... seems as though she is like Taiga in a lot of ways, thus the "snacks only" shopping bags... been a while since i read the first volumes of the novels so this is a good refresher

Bahahaha, I loooooooove Minorliiiiin. She reminds of me the quarky super happy girl from Saiyonara Setsuoban Sensei.

Ok, now this is getting good. Cant wait for episode 6. I have no idea, where what or how i want to say things. This is my favorite episode so far. And a nice cliffhanger to boot. question on my mind is....which direction is she going to go? new love interest for Takasu or new love rival for Kitamura? +2 points to Kushieda, i have like her a bit more cause of the stunt she pulled after the letter. that was good

I think Takasu's mom has more moe than any other character in this anime.

That bird still creeps me out. i feel like i have seen it before...maybe full metal alchemist? I feel like that bird is going to break its own neck, or choke to death on a walnut...i wanna hit it with a baseball!!!

Ok after seing episode 5 I have to say it's really good. I mean no one would expect a good girl to have a two-faced persona. Although it seems that Tiaga just want's to ignore her since she couldn't care less. Oh course it seems that Ami is just trying to toy with Taksu to the point of having him as a pet, just like Taiga or maybe even worse then that though.

Ah, facades, how fun they are. (Just read/watch Kare Kano)

Episode five was alright. Minorin was hilarious, though I question why Takasu doesn't just ask Taiga to tell Minorin how they are not dating or anything. Seems like it would clear a lot of misconceptions.

As for Ami, I prefer her "normal" side.

I believe taiga already tried to explain it (Remember when she went berserk and violently rearranged the room?). Minori even apologized. She has explained it to Minori, but she did not believe her.

And facades can make or break an anime. In this case, it helped tremendously.

I'm wondering how far this will go. So far it made it through the first novel and part way through the second. Are they going to skip a few parts and jump ahead towards an early ending, like Nogizaka Haruka? Or will they finish the first couple novels and then continue with another season, like Spice and Wolf?

i haven't read the novels so I'm anime only and so far like where this is going

when Taiga Slapped Ami, I cried laughing ( it was no hesitation)

And Minorin after the letter was priceless


The pace is nice can wait for the next episode

I completely agree that the facade in this case works wonderfully. It adds a whole new dimension and path to the show. Taiga once again is brilliant, her interactions with Ami fit perfectly and adds a great atmosphere.

I was a bit confused in the beginning when they were watching TV. In the fansub I watched talked about Christmas break! But from what I made out it seems like Golden Week! Anybody know where in the year we are at?
