its an indirect one, and to be honest an amazing one to boot; and as far as romance goes, don't expect anyone to fall in love this soon, we aren't even at the halfpoint yet, not to mention there hasn't been that "spark" they need to start it off... right now its at a point where they're trying to make us realize that all three girls are starting to show interest in Ryuuji in their own way

btw, Taiga with the ponytail is a win kind of reminds me of how it was a win on Haruhi as well

Sorry to say, but the halfway point was episode 6-7, this anime is only 13 episodes long, so there are only 4 more episodes left , unless we get a season 2. But, if you are talking about the manga, in which i am not reading, then i dont know how far any of this really goes . I would think they would end this with some kind of pairing, even if there is a season 2(which i am hoping for) they need to make sum kind of love finale.

That's not definitely true. I've seen some mixed facts about the total number of episodes. ANN lists only 13 episodes, but they don't actually list a total number of episodes so that doesnt mean it won't go farther. And anidb and myanimelist both list it as 25 episodes. But then again none of these sights are ever 100% trusted sources for this type of information so we can't be completely sure.

13 episodes? I thought someone mentioned this got an extention to having 25/26 episodes. In any case this is worthy of having a long running series if you ask me.

Never the less this two part beach house episode could be something like a take form the Haruhi series as well since it look slike it can go in that direction as well. In any case I guess the next episode will show if it went like that or not though.

im pretty confident this season is only 13 episodes, altho they might have a season 2, i havent read the manga, so i dont know if it goes further than this. But if you look at ANN's episode listings, 11-13 are a part 1 a part 2 and a part 3, ushally the last 2 episodes for a season or anime are 2 parters. And if you think about it, a 3-part High School Cultural Festival, that just screams romance and confessions and/or plans to confess. I dont know, it just feels like an ending to me. look at the episode list, doesnt it look/feel like an end.

I noticed that too and was thinking that seems like a plausible place for a series to end, although for now there just isn't any definitive info i've found so for now i'll just hope its longer and wait and see if an episode 14 ever comes out.

Episode 9 was a great episode, I was surprised Taiga was willing to try to scare Minori, especially because she use to be very defensive of her to Ryuuji. It will be interesting to see if they end up doing a "test of courage" in the cave.

As for number of episodes, we really don't know if it will end at 13 of not. The school festival could be used as a conclusion, or it might just conclude this season, with a second season continuing it. Might I also point out that on the japanese wikipedia, it is listed as having 25 episodes, but there is no source cited, so it looks like it's just a rumor. We'll just have to wait and find out.

US Wiki (altho Wiki is NOT a crediable source, and i HATE cite'ng it) says "The episodes started airing on October 2, 2008 on the TV Tokyo Japanese television network, and will conclude on December 24, 2008 with thirteen episodes." The source is said to be from Tokyo Tv.

well, its a bummer to see this one end so soon; but to be honest i hope they don't do an anime original ending and just find a good spot in the novels to stop for a second season... like i said, its not even halfway through storywise, and the juicy stuff doesn't happen until later volumes

what? there's even more juicy stuff later on? Does Taiga finally get to fight someone? Does Ryuuji fall for Kitumura? lol now THAT would be an interesting twist even though it's probably not gonna happen
On a serious note I hope there's another season of this show, it has the right style for it to easily be continued and it's certainly worth another 2 or 3 seasons for laughs.

Oh this makes me sad. All the good shows are always 13. I am probably going to have serious withdrawal when it ends.

On the other hand I really hope they leave it for a second season, no fancy ending just well be back in the spring or fall.

Both Louise and Shana can get 2+ seasons, there's no reason ToraDora shouldn't!!!

That's happened between they drifted off from the original story. If the anime stay loyal to the original story, then sequel or not it shouldn't affect the quality, unless the original stories are going downhill

Uz3r013, yes I checked WIKI's episode page and it did say that and it also said that the source was "said to be from TV Tokyo".....but where's the evidence.....see its just a random fool who just put it there without any proper proof, when "editing" the WIKI page on Toradora.

Therfore, this series will definitely be 24-26 episodes but most likely 25 episodes and will air until late March 2009 (just before the Spring 2009 season starts).

Yeah it does have that 24/26 episode feel to it. I mean it has a lot of potential as well. Never the less I have to say that even if it's only 12/13 for now this would mean that the second season has those OP and ED so eiter way it's going past 13, but it's a matter of how.

After doing some research I came across the fact that it's going to be 8 DVD's, starting release is 1/21/09 - 8/26/09.

Amazon JP says first DVD will be 100 minutes, so I assume 4 episodes or 3 with extras. if it keeps that pace I assume 24 episodes. I doubt that the next 7 would only be 1 episode each.

So I am feeling very confident it will be 24 episodes. Now, the only issue is will it be 2 seasons right after each other like Minami-ke? or will it continue after a week break after the holidays.

God i hate this anime.
