I personally like the Ryuuji x Ami pairing best, since they can both be themselves around eachother and there's an attraction that's missing (so far) in the Ryuuji x Taiga pairing... but I think eventually Taiga and Ryuuji will get together... after all the whole show is about them. I really liked the summer vacation episodes because we got to see more sides of Minorin, Kitamura and Ami.
Until now I didn't like Minorin all that much, she was funny and cute but that was it. After the conversation about ghosts with Ryuuji and how at the end of eppy 10 she was asking him why he wanted to scare her, and his reply (I wanted you to see ghosts, aww) I liked that we got to see another side of her.
Ami is playful and a bit devious which is why I like her. I agree with senpai-kun that the show got a hell of a lot better after she joined the cast.
Kitamura's cheesy scare tactics were hilarious... I thought he was going to have something really scary planned but no... ketchup (blood) writing on the wall.. ahh but Taiga still comes to his defense, Kitamura-kun will always be amazing in her eyes
It's weird that on ANN it says it has 13 ep titles since on my anime list it says 25 eps... well I'm hoping that it is actually 25 episodes!!

If you watched the end of episode 10 you really saw the jealous taiga start to emerge

when you see her staring at Ryuui when he was walking

You know there is one more potential relationship I think we're all missing that Ami spoke of in episode 9

I don't think Kitamura has any romantic feelings toward any of the girls including Taiga

I think he has a crush on the student body president and just wants everyone else to enjoy each other

LoL....one day after watching episode 10, I feel like I don't even know what happened in it but I do have flashbacks in my head of it.....I'm weird.

I remember the episode being pretty awesome and it was funny to see Kitamura and Minori playing the "SCARE-THEM-TO-DEATH" prank on Taiga and Ryuuji, I kinda guessed that was the case after seeing the wet hair and wet dress in Ryuuji and Taiga's bedrooms respectively in episode 09. It was also funny seeing Minori explaining her reverse psychology of loving and being scared of Horror at the same time but really just loving it and wanting to attract attention so that she can have the fun when ppl try to frighten her.

Heheheh, it was really funny seeing Minori questioning on the matter why Ryuuji wanted to sacre her......I loved it when she was asking him with a clueless yet serious expression on her face. It was also it a bit quirky when Ryuuji gave the metaphorical answer of wanting to show her ghosts and making her believe them......kind of sweet but was kind of a let down as he leaves it ambiguous of whether was for friendship or that he is in love with her. We already know which one it is and so does Taiga but not Minori.

I believe Minori has none of those kind of feelings and why she displays such an energetic and unfazed attitude in front of her friends and others is because she might be coming from a troubled or simple busy household, she feels she lacks love at home and is in disbelief of love existing outside, if it doesn't even have a place a t home. I think her parents might be divorced (or that one of her parents are dead), she's living with her mother (or father) and her sibling(s) (as of now, we only know she has one younger brother who she makes bentos for)....the hardships she had to go through as she grew up made into what she is now.

I would like to connect the above paragraph with what Ami said, about Ryuugi and Minori being both the Moon and the Sun respectively and to what I said on my speculation concerning Minori's home and past. If you think about it, both Ryuuji and Minori have similar backgrounds, as in Ryuuji's father died and is living with only his mother and helping out an awful lot at home, doing almost all the chores. However, they've become two different people......this symbolizes two outcomes from one initial thing and in a way as Ami said they won't suit each other because of it. Despite, they could possibly suit each other the most compared to the other 2 pairings with Ryuuji.......so yeah, as of now I won't rule out the possibility of a RyuujixMinori pairing at the current time but really just considering the title of this series.......I honestly, don't see it happen. (CONTRADICTIONS !?!? )

Okay, enough focus on Minori, lets move on to Ami (my favorite character of this series), I loved her attitude in this episode.....it was great Ryuuji choosing to go with Ami in the cave when she decided to go away by herself.....he wanted to protect her (it was I hope) and loved it when he catched before she feel on her face, when she tripped. AniWiz, said we will get some Ami development in Volume 7 of the novel, meaning that will start about episode 17 or 18 (pretty late in this anime...ain't it) but I guess we will see it slowly during the next episodes........I hope Ryuuji chooses Ami but I have a feeling that the series might end with a RyuujixTaiga and AmixKitamura ending.

Gotta wait until next week for episode 11........so long.

yeah Miniami Ke is still going thrid season coming out and they look a lot older, early next year check on anidb.

I don't trust anidb, it's wrong way too often. ANN says that it's "supposedly green-lit", which I hope fails at the last moment, because it seems like the Minami Ke season three is made by the same guys who made Okawari, meaning it will also Suck Hosaka balls! (yeah I hated Okawari).

If they do continue Toradora, I do hope the new OP is at least slightly better that the current poor excuse for an OP song.

i like the op... not my favorite op, but still pretty good.

I ditched Miniami Ke after the first episode, it put me to sleep. sooooo boring.

I dunno, the original Minami Ke was the second-best comedy of 2007 IMO.

The ToraDora OP seemed like it was trying to somewhat imitate ALI PROJECT style but failed miserably >___<

..... wow, what an epic turn of events, this series better run for 24+ eps, guess who came in ep 11? Taiga's dad, and it seems she will be going home to live with him, of course good old Ryuuji will put a stop to that or no more Toradora  it was kind of awkward seeing that type of guy being her relative... then again it could all be an act? maybe hes a real jerk? anyway it seems Ami is acting like a completely different person nwo (watch and see) so i'm hoping she will completely open up to everyone soon

That would be actually the most awesome series ending if the dad just took her away and they never saw each other again Like a bad end in a VN

Episode 11 WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again Toradora has impressed me greatly. Taiga's father is really not who I thought he would be. Seems too young and like a pushover. And talk about some real hatred towards him from Taiga. I knew Ryuji was going to use the Atleast you have a father. The emotions worked out very well, and I felt them as well. Boy was the ending scene powerful. My emotions started to get the best of me.

So we are in fall, the episode seemed rushed, not in story but in actual scenes, It was a 500+ line episode so lots of words and emotions, added to the fact I went to the bar tonight didn't help comprehension

I am truly glad we are focusing on Taiga and Ryuji again. I was really worried that Minori was going to play a bigger role after the UFO/Ghost talk, but luckily not (as you can tell I do not like her at all) The summer vacation episodes were awesome but am glad we are back to good old Taiga and Ryuji. I would like a little more Ami, she has a spot in my heart as well.

I will honestly say I have absolutely no clue how Ep 12 is going to play out, and I love that, it means this series is FRESH!

I feel Taiga now has feelings for Ryuji cause in the last scene, she dos'nt want Ryuji to have a face anymore, and listens to him. I kept on yelling at my monitor for Ryuji to embrace her in this type of situation. Taiga needs a hug

Well, I have not seen 11 yet (since I can't use torrent) but even 10 felt rushed already, with most comic pauses cut too short so that a lot of jokes didn't provoke as much laughter as they should've.

I'm curious to see ep 11 now that everyone seems to post great stuff about it.

EDIT: One a side note, the ANN now lists 14 eps as confirmed, which means that we're likely to get more Toradora goodness after New Year's

Now... That!... was a complete episode!

There were such nice things involved with that scene... and this scene... and man, so much goodness involved with the ep. altogether. It's going to take a rewatching in order to cover all of the things that went down in it. I was like... "dude... that's insane!" once I got a hold on what was going on...

Unlike the eps in the past... this one was solely based on Taiga and Ryuuji's "friendship"... No one else really stood out because of just how clouded everyone's lives were in regards to what was going on.

Most people will agree that was was seen here was probably the most emotionally involved episode of the series thus far because you can really get a sensation as to how deep things run when it comes to Taiga's relationship to her dad and Ryuuji's concept of wondering what it must be like to have a dad at all. His envious nature over how Taiga treats her dad without thinking about how it would affect those around her. And Taiga... taking that step to like... keep the wounds in his heart from tearing open in the scenario. Man... that was one heck of a moment! I was practically in tears just after that scene came up when I was watching the whole... self-defense tactic #2 being pulled.

It really paints a picture! I can't wait to read everyone's take on this in the next 24 hours... because this was one of those that could start a new thread by itself! I won't start it because I got the gist of it from my years in Education classes.

As far as watching it the first time, I was in tears... and that's hard for me to admit at first because it's one of the few times that I could relate that much to something. You're talking like... years upon years... of this. I'll keep it vague... and edit later... but man... when everyone else gets this in their data banks... let's talk for a good, long while!

good episode. lots a drama. i can see why this is a three-parter.

"my last wife was way to young..." "i wanna start a new life with my daughter..." plus various other signs.... you dont think Tiaga's dad is a lolicon pervert who might just harass is daughter out of convience? nahhh. couldnt be...right?

THis could all be delusional of course, i just watch the episode this morning after a session in the bathroom (i all of a sudden got a bug, im sick as a stray neko in a romance-drama)

Wow, I watched ep. 11 late last night and was thinking about after I went to bed. Taiga showed again she has feelings for Ryuuji. Her father gives me a bad vibe. He is going to dump the new wife and move back with Taiga? Now I know where she gets her immaturity from. Is Taiga going to move out of the condo or her dad move in ? What will happen to breakfast with Ryuuji and Ya chan? Ryuuji needs more info-maybe a call to Minori will help. I love this series I care about all the characters- even Ami. Ya chan might have some insight. She looks like an air headed bimbo, but after Taiga got so mad at Ryuuji at the public pool Ya chan told him Taiga doesn't say what she means and if she hated him she wouldn't eat from the same dish as him. Ya chan isn't an intellectual but she has a good head for people. thats why she's a good bar hostess. This episode really ramped up the drama and I really can't wait for 12. BTW why doesn't FTV have this ep ? EPISODE 11 IS ALL OVER THE NET BUT NOT AT FTV WHY?

Episode 11 was pretty good and yes Taiga's dad is a little weird.......I wonder what happened to her mother, did she die or did she just abandon her family.

I can't really remember what I watched.....but it was funny seeing Ami going all out on Taiga.....I just really love her character.

Episode 11's ending was really good and I'm just wondering what is going to happen and I really liked it when Taiga placed her hand over Ryuuji's lips to stop him from saying words that will hurt him and she went to off to her dad to "protect" him (or am I just going completely off because I'm dead tired at the moment.

Episode 12 is gonna be a real feast......I'm highly anticipating it.

Yeah, ive finally watch ep 11, Nice kick coming from Taiga, she just nailed her father's balls!!

For some reason, ive felt a fussy feeling when Taiga, touch Ryuuji's face, when Ryuuji was trying to apologize!!

So whats gonna happen next, if Taiga's dad move to her apartment, or Taiga will move out to live with her father!! Lots of idea's coming to my head!! What will happen to Ryuuji. Something big will happen in ep 12!! Im sure of it!!

Well if Taiga move out, im sure, Ryuuji's gonna miss her big time!!

Well after seeing episode 11 I have to say things are getting interesting. It almost feels like you do kind of have ot feel a little bad for Taiga's father in a way somehow. I mean he said he's giving up his current wife to be with his daugther once more, so that has to count for something.

Also, it seem like thier homeroom teacher had a nervious breakdown and decided to ruin the whole idea for what the class probablly wanted. In any case tat was an interesting twist to the whole episode right there.

As for the idea about Taiga's father the only thing that comes to mind would be Ryuuji's mother metting her father and it being taken from there.
