ep 15 and 16 of Wangan Midnight won't start using the chukkurai downloader.. I saw another thread like this one and apparently this error means the file is no longer available.. Which doesn't make sense because It was only added some days ago...

Hmmm, maybe the file isn't uploaded into the server properly, i think thats the case here

According to the server the files you want are on pretty much every machine on the server. I'd say try it again and if it still doesn't work now then report back to us. It could have been as Chuuko said and it wasn't yet fully uploaded onto the servers when you tried. Actually forget that I just tried it and it gives an unable to use file message.

Edit: Fairly sure this is a problem with the japanese characters in the file name as episode 17 is also affected.

I'm having problems downloading Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae episodes 11and 12 as I keep getting "Unable to Use File" using Chuukarai, and the torrent links go to unknown file types so I am reluctant to use them.
Also episode 13 seems to be completely missing so any help here would be appreciated onegai.

I have the episodes, but with a crap connection at the moment, upload speeds are incredibly undesirable (about 5kb/s...yeah my bandwidth is being eaten by the torrents I'm downloading). I get better connection starting this saturday/sunday, so if no one has fixed this problem yet, I'll reupload via mirrors if I have access to it.

I just thought of an idea.

If you get an "unable to use file" error it probably means the servers have trouble uploading the episode (it happens from time to time). My best advice would be to use the Anime Request Thread and make a request there!

Your problems are likely related to the previous problems. This basically confirms that the system does not work with japanese characters. The links just don't point to the right places. All we can really do until Daft does something about it is to have you ask for them in the Anime Request thread.

i keep getting the unable to use files for [Anonymous] Casshern Sins - 01 (D-TVS 1280ｘ720 x264 AAC).mkv and i`ve been trying this link for 2 days. as for the self-service link, somehow it stop at around 10-12% download. umm~ that is all~

I also get the same "unable to use file" error when using the chuukurai download manager. It is a server problem so it is unlikely to be fixed in the foreseeable future. The self-service feature works so you should try again. I think you just got unlucky when it failed at 12%, these things happen from time to time.

I am getting the message "unable to use file" with the latest episode of Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo using Choukurai Download Manager

The chuukurai download manager works now so try again! Sometimes people will have trouble downloading new episodes on the chuukurai manager. If you have the same problem in the future my best advice would be to wait a few hours and try again.

Um, some of Wangan Midnight episodes still bring up the "unable to use file" error - is this going to get fixed?

4as-san I've checked your IP and it's not blocked so all I can suggest is try again later. If the problem persists talk to Daft or ask for the episode on the Anime Request thread.

The unable to use file error is actually a server error. It doesnt matter if your blocked or not to be honest.

Uh, just as langes01x said in his posts above the problem lays with japaness character in those 8 files. The error wont go away, untile someone renames those episodes filenames (and those are: 15,16,17,18,19,20,26).
Is Daft really the only persone who can fix it? :S

Just to keep the debate alive, Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae - Episode 9, gives exactly the same problem.

Ok for some odd reason I'm going to pin this topic for the time being since we tend to get this from time to time. In any case it normally comes up when an epsiode had just been finally uploaded onto the server so it takes a while for it to actually be usable though.

As for other files, as long as the series didn't get licensed it's best to go ont te Anime Request Thread in the anime section for it.

Same problem for me as well, can't download any episode of K-On!. I'm on safari osx 10.5.6
