From what I'm aware, leadership roles are a big deal in Japan, which is why one often sees the recurring theme. Not to mention that it's really easy to make a story out of it. |

I'm glad I waited so long to finish Tsukasa's arc. For the first series after Kaoru's arc ended (my favorite at the time) i just waited for a whole arc to finish and essentially fast forwarded through them. But I never ended up getting to Tsukasa's arc and just let those 4 episodes sit on my hdd mainly because I never thought Tsukasa was an interesting character in anything else I had seen. Good thing for that since she actually turned out to be one of, if not the best characters, and I just went straight from the 1st seasons arc right into the 2nd seasons arc with no delay.
Though now I'm pretty much just waiting for Kaoru's and partly Morishima's arc since Kaoru is still competeing with Tsukasa for best character in my mind. Too bad I gotta wade through Rihoko, Sae, and Ai (though I kinda liked Ai) first assuming they are doing reverse order. ![]() ![]() ![]() Oblivious to the World - My Blog Barbobot's Anime List Current Top 5 Ongoing (Updated for Winter '10 01/10) |

So the start of the Rihoko 2-part arc. She still is as nice as ever. Due to this she is one of my favorite characters. Junichi also seems to hold his own this time. What i like the best however is that this time we get a small drama. As Rihoko is the only one who didn't get a romance at the end of her arc, something did have to happen this time. Junichi still seems to be interested in certain parts

My sister and I had a hunch that Tsukasa was going to be one of the best characters since the beginning of the series, and we were right. Saving the best for last logic I found Rihoko's arc to be painful to watch in the first season, but in this continuation it seems like it will be kinda interesting. I'm pretty optimistic that she will have a satisfying ending this time around... @nijlandp= due to how much of a horndog Junichi was this episode, I hope Rihoko doesn't settle for being friends with benefits |
|
I hope so too. She is way too nice to be treated like that. Hopefully Junichi realizes that she is a good girlfriend who he needs to treasure. |
|
Noooooo !!!! Why is it always like that in anime ! Most of the time when a girl is telling to someone else who she loves, there's always some external noise (train, firework, and so on) and then...ending theme... *rage*
Anyway, Junichi was really horny in this episode with his measurement xD He tricked her twice for the same purpose ! That was funny =p Now I hope her one-side love will stop for a mutual love. She may not be the best character but she is the one who is the most honest and simple. (Sorry if I have a bad English) |

Do I see that right and this time they dont use the omnibusformat? After all Junichi is the vice-president now so this arc plays obviously after the Tsukasa Arc, so why are they now doing Rihoko? Do they want to make Junichi the next Makoto or what? With a nice Boat ending?
Except for that, well its Rihoko. The most boring, less attractive and least girlfriend material of all. At least there are only two eps about her. My Animelist Top 5 of currently airing TV-series:(02.02.12) 1. Another 2. Nisemonogatari 3. Bakuman S2 4. Toriko 5. Fairy Tail |

He's the vice-president of the tea ceremony club, not the school

Hmm, so Rihoko gets a good ending. Still it didn't feel like a good episode. Why didn't the writers use the awkward scene of the previous episode to get more drama out of it? Also Rihoko and Junichi both acted like they were afraid of each other..they have known each other for a long while so why would they act so afraid? Sure they are afraid of the feelings but this felt overdone. Why didn't the writers use the photobook to help...Junichi going though it gave another chance but again nothing happened. The last part with the confession was also weak. It was too fast to give some real emotion. And second there was no future part..
Again this ending for Rihoko was not as good as it could have been. She deserved better...even her nice dress which fitted her character perfectly couldn't save her from another failure..Miya was good though. Her actions and remarks made this episode a lot better fortunately. Hopefully all the other girls get a better 2-episode story. |
|
Exactly what this says. The arcs are unrelated to each other and the omnibus format remains. It just so happens that Junichi is a vice president in two different places in two different arcs. I'm still not liking where this series is heading. Rihoko's arc still felt incomplete as is and not sure how they're going to play Ai's or Sae's arc in a few weeks. I'm thinking Kaoru's arc may end up similar to that of Rihoko's and completely unsure of how they will do Haruka's arc given all the random teasing she's done throughout the first 4 episodes alone. This show needs more Tsukasa |
|
Finally Rihoko arc ended ! I felt like her arc was way too rushed seeing how "fast" Junichi confessed his love for Rihoko. I wanted this arc to last maybe one more episode to have a proper ending as I was kinda unsatisfied with this one... But oh well, she's not the most interesting girl is Amagami SS xD

|
I think they should have used the same format of four episodes per girl that they used for the first season. Both the Tsukasa and Rihoko arcs were not really satisfying for this season. Kind of like the Risa episode except not as rushed since it's two episodes instead of one. As nijlandp wrote there are so many things that are not explained. In the Tsukasa arc, where did Kurosawa come from? Why does she like Junichi? In the Rihoko arc they could have developed some kind of love triangle from the last scene of the first episode. It seems that the story lines were not really well thought out.

|
I felt she was short changed again, and didn't receive a satisfying conclusion. There should have been more intimacy between her and Junichi since they've known each other their whole lives, yet that was nowhere to be found...
Hmm four eps might be too much for each girl since this is sort of like an epilogue, maybe three would have been just about right There will be some specials though, akin to the first Amagami SS. They're little shorts but I'll be looking forward to seeing a little more of the girls. |
|
The first ep of Ai was defenitely the best of now. I like it that they add a little drama into this show since thats whats missing a bit.
But how can Junichi answer everything wrong with picking the wrong row? I mean how stupid do you have to be to make such a mistike for so many answers? Once or twice can happen but not this oO |
|
Well then, it seems that with Ai's arc, the show is really just plopping everything else from the game into the show, i.e. "good" stuff that happens in the other 4-5 endings for each character and just mixing it to produce the contents of the two episodes in addition to a variety of the anime original content.
Anyways, the biggest surprise of episode 6 is rather than Sae's arc that many were probably expecting next week, it's actually Kaoru's arc. Not sure why there is a sudden change up given that everything else was going in order so far. |
|
The fact that it's Kaoru's arc coming up is a good thing. Because I just watched the six episodes so far and found myself generally bored overall. There would be a couple amusing scenes here and there but things tend to drag a lot. I have to be honest I couldn't have cared less about Ayatsuji becoming the class president which her arc was mainly focused on. Junichi took the submissive role during their arc and I just couldn't help but see him as really unmanly. Sure I know there are guys out there like that but it's just not as appealing to watch. The Rihoko arc was just pretty blah because it was this endless nails on the chalkboard feeling of just please confess already. I understand that it maybe hard for childhood friends to take that next step but it would have been nice to have seen another side to Rihoko. Not that same worried to make a move girl that was portrayed in the first season. I can't believe Junichi got away with measuring her chest though. She's not exactly the brightest bulb on the shelf but in that specific case it turned out to be a good thing. The Nanasaki arc was the best of the three for me at least. She is just more fun than the other two in my opinion. Junichi asked her if he could very awkwardly relax on her stomach and sing him a lullaby in school |
|
Ais second ep was great too since I think of all girls she is the one who fits most to Junichi since both have pretty much the same personality. Not too outgoing but not too shy either.
If it was me I wouldnt even need a Sae arc (just like a Rihoko arc). They could just do 4 eps Kaoru beeing Kaoru and two eps Haruka. Or even better two eps with Karou, two with and two with Haruka and Hibiki going all Yuri since those two are defenitely the best couple in this show. My Animelist Top 5 of currently airing TV-series:(02.02.12) 1. Another 2. Nisemonogatari 3. Bakuman S2 4. Toriko 5. Fairy Tail |

Ai was a nice arc. She made it pretty serious due to remembering Junichi is going to university and she would remain behind. It was pretty nicely resolved though. The only weak point was the ending with the fireworks. Did she really had to keep on calling him sempai...? It could have felt better if she finally decided to call him by his name.
So now we get Kaoru already. Just as Kit-Tsukasa said i also expected Sae first. Why this change? PS: Miya sure is going strong until now in all the episodes. Hopefully we get even more humorous parts from her |
|
I was thinking the exact same thing as the episode ended. The only conclusion that I could come up with was that the writer was playing to those fans who have that kind of fetish. Like the people who get really excited about hearing the girl call him sempai over and over
I hadn't even thought about this; I gotta say I'm not hating that idea. The best couple in the show? lol You could actually be right on with that; now that would be an interesting arc worth watching |
|
That's because nobody cares much for Sae's arc and better to skip to the good stuff........ LOL I'm kidding
I think it's also a habit that's hard for her to break, and thus it's inadvertently become a term of endearment. He'll be an upperclassman forever, that's hopeless and helpless without her |
