I like how this show is ecchi to the pont were you kind of feel bad about the guy being in a mostly all-girl school like that. I makes me wonder if the female population in an all-girl school is anything like that at all. I only ask since it's the curiosity towards the unknown.

If college is any indicator....yes Ep 2 shows that this is going to remain focused on quick jokes and gags, which will make this mediocre at best for me. I'll still watch for the laughs but this is definitely nothing to write home about so far. I find the one liners in this show work real well in my opinion. Unlike another certain Seitokai anime this one actually works. The character are cute and all likable; already I feel their personalities coming through on just the second episode. Oh!! and we see a role by Yu Kobayashi as the advisior. She is awesome and one of my favorite seiyuu's; always playing absolutely crazy characters. Gags and jokes are working real well. Even though they are nothing but ecchi jokes, they feel more solid and mature (if that makes any sense) almost like dry English humor meets Japanese ecchi. I like it!! The opening and ending songs are very catchy as well, especially the ending Even if this series stays just like it is, I don't think I will get tired of it at all. It's one of those animes that I like to watch cause it is just their for laughs, nothing complicated, no heart break, just school life humor. ![]() |

I really like the jokes they are doing but its even better if its not meant as a joke ^^
I had to laugh hard when Shino said "all c*msh*ts must be inside" XD Which man wouldnt want to hear that. Or about Arias making. Was great too. Naruko is a good character too, too bad I didnt have a teacher like that back then |

Well pretty much it's outside of the student council room which is a plus side for this one. Also, I kind of liked the Engrish moment that happened in this episode I mean that is pretty much what should happen if you call a high schooler a little girl.
Not only that but to see the student president buying porn and acting like some midddle schooler now that was funny as well. Pretty much the ecchi jokes are what's keeping this seires going, but it seems there's more to it then just that of course. ![]() - Miko Miko Mode Oni Version - Yes, I do have a red riding hood complex... For me the best scene was with the deers. Especially their reaction to Shinos and Arias licking-comments.
Still it was the weakest ep in my eyes. Its better if they are all together. To bad we didnt get a good view on Hagimuras mother, she was hot. |

I just powered through eps 1-3 today on a whim. Ironically, I found myself liking the series a lot more than I thought. I will have to give some of the others a shot as well instead of being a cover-biased anime fan. On any account, the show has its moments of drag but I think that the humor runs side by side making things balance out. I would go as far as saying that I'll be following this. I will be needing something to fill in between viewing of a couple of other shows that I'm following at the moment besides the obvious suspects. I dunno... I am debating whether SYD or Mitsudomoe is the more raunch of the bunch. I haven't decided yet... I'll have to think about it within the week.

Ep 3 was great. Loved all the parts with the photographer. VERY fitting part for Kuroko's VA. The deer part was funny too.
I didn't understand the Nobunaga reference, would anyone care to explain it to me? |
|
I agree with Killer_Ossi. It is better when they are together. Although due to them not being together it gives more insight in how they are individually. For example we would have missed the president buying a present (well, let's just say a present which she would like to watch for herself
Funniest part this time sure was the Little girl comment (Hagimura reminds me so much of Nagi from Hayate). It was to be expected but it sure was done nicely. The deer part was also nicely done. For the rest Tsuda and Hagimura together felt somewhat strange: they seem to start to look at each other on a different level then before...maybe i'm just mistaken. It wouldn't exactly fit in here if they introduced a short of crush from Hagimura's side. @damienstryker: for me mitsudoe is a more relaxed type. This series feels as the more raunchy one for me. |

Completely with you on the dirty-jokes factor. This one is for sure a scale tipper. Pretty much a cookie-cutter of other student counsel formats.
On the flip-side, they haven't resorted to cheap fanservice to try and create a bigger draw. It's sticking to it's guns, which I like. Overall this is one of the better shows this season as far as comedy goes. |
|
Lol at the deer. I can picture how this show'll be treated in the upcoming Comiket.
Still loving the humor although animation sometimes becomes iffy here and there. Anyone recognize from which commercial the "golden room" bit was taken from? It's got to be a commercial. |

Love this series, and I really like how I can explain that it's about a student council at an all girls school and then say the following have been said in the show.

i'm loving this anime lmao... probably have never laughed this much watching an anime... some of their one liners are so unexpected it catches you totally unawares doode... i almost had one of those drink spraying moments a few times lmao... love the characters and the humor...can't get enough!!!

Yeah, I agree. It's been a good while since I have laughed like this due to an anime. To be honest I think seto no hanayome was the last one that really got me going.
Anyway, before I get off topic. I just did a quick four episode marathon, and I have decided that this may very well be my favorite anime going this summer. The real-life humor is probably what drew me in; meaning small things like having one's birthday circled on a calendar but swearing they don't want a party. I can say this happened to me a good 10-15 times with people I know, and the fact that this anime points out small things like that already makes it worthwhile in my eyes; even though I wonder how Tsuda manages to not laugh at the stupid stuff these ladies pull. I think the funniest part so far had to be the light at the end of episode 4; I hate it when simple sh*t like that goes wrong in real life. Note: Bondage bears will catch on soon enough. |
|
Indeed episode 4 was a fun watch. It seems that since this version takes place other than just the student council room it makes it much more interesting. Besides you kind of get some kind of a feel of what the student council does outside of the room.

Ep was good again with a few nice scenes.
Best scene was defenitely when Shino was happy about her new vibrator XD Couldnt stop laughing. The scene at the end with the light was good to, as was the Bear or Aria undressing herself and then running out of the room ^^ Btw damn Aria was hot in that scene. I wonder why they are drawing her normally with only slightty greater bustsize than Shino but in other scenes they have way more oO Still in my eyes Setokai no Ichizon is still the better Setokai-series. My Animelist Top 5 of currently airing TV-series:(03.06.11) 1. Deadman Wonderland 2. Steins;Gate 3. Dog Days 4. Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai 5. Tiger & Bunny (long time runs not included) |

I suppose I'm in the minority here with my interest in this series going downwards. I liked it in the beginning, however (to me) the one liners and the constant obsession over sex feels like it's starting to wear out.
To me, it's kinda like sitting there watching Larry the Cable Guy. You know he's going to talk about Walmart, crippled people, and say "Git 'r' Done" it's just a matter of what order it'll be in. I see my expectations falling as this series goes on. Perhaps the simplicity of the scenario this series is based on and lack of real direction is the main motivator behind the shallowness I feel when attempting to enjoy this. On one hand you have a series where you know it's a "slice of life" comedy where it chronicles the daily lives of the students and on the other hand its lack of direction or plot line makes you wonder if this is all it's going to be. I'll continue watching, however I'm just hoping the series will engage me more than it has. |

You have to bare it mind that this anime is adapted from a 4-koma (4 panels) manga, and it will not really have a main storyline or development of story as a whole. It will always focus on humors and jokes or gags. So if you are looking for a reasonable story from this anime, it just ain't gonna happen I have to say. |
|
yeah I kinda figured as much after reading what it was adapted from. I guess I was looking for more of a "B Gata H Kei" structure than how it's been constructed. (since B Gata H Kei was also 4-koma)
I mean, yeah they do spend 3-5 minutes here and there on a topic, however to me it just feels like you already know how the end of the gag is going to play out. It's like comparing it to a roller coaster. You ride it once and its "OOOOOOOH!" Ride it a second time, you scream because you know where the drops and twists are. Then each subsequent time since you know how everything is set up, the excitement and anticipation begins dropping. (side note: I was surprised no one made a crack about my Larry the Cable Guy analogy |
